Q&A

Introduce yourself.

I am Christopher Seville of Thatch Construction Group. Owner-focused construction management firm handling a range of projects from commercial buildouts to multifamily and mixed-use developments. I specialize in making the construction process smoother for the client and represent their every need from preconstruction to closeout.

What is your why?

My family is my main why. I do it for the ones who paved a way for me and my only goal is to leave it better than I got it.

Why West Palm Beach?

Born and Raised! Wouldn't have it any other way. I love this city from the ocean to the inner city.

What's one thing you can't live without?

A gym!

What's your favorite local spot?

Tropical Smokehouse.

What's your order from Tropical?

Well, that depends. At Tropical BBQ Market, turkey plate with sweet potato and cheese grits. If it's Tropical Smokehouse on Dixie, it's the single cheeseburger with fries and key lime pie to save the day.

How do you get yourself out of a rut?

I walk and call my inner circle. My inner circle includes my wife and best friends — someone will always give me the real and inspire me to do more... or less.

Why 1909?

The community. Nick Mohnacky was the biggest driver of this decision and he was right about everything in terms of support and the community. It's not just a workspace, it's much more.

What's one lesson you learned the hard way?

Contracts! Read them, redline them, and execute them.

Palm Beach County is growing rapidly — what are you keeping your eye on?

I am most excited about the new and different type of building that is coming to WPB. I am eyeing sustainability and preserving the real West Palm Beach that most forget about. I am hoping the future looks like one big melting pot!

What song do you have on repeat right now?

Eshon Burgundy — Blessings ↗
